Temporary Withdrawal Restrictions: What You Need to Know

Modified on Wed, 24 Dec at 11:29 AM

To ensure the highest level of account security and regulatory compliance, certain actions on your Delta Exchange account may trigger temporary withdrawal and deposit restrictions. These measures are preventive and designed to protect your funds.

Please review the details below to understand when and why these restrictions apply.

1. Withdrawal Restriction After 2FA Reset or Disable

If you reset or disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your account, withdrawals will be temporarily disabled for 24 hours.
This security measure helps protect your account from unauthorized access and prevents misuse immediately after changes to critical security settings.

2. Withdrawal Restriction After Bank Account Update

If you change or update your bank account details on the Bank Details page, withdrawals will be temporarily disabled for 48 hours.
This cooling-off period is implemented to safeguard your funds and ensure that updated banking information is verified properly.

3. Withdrawal Access After the Security Hold Period

Once the respective 24-hour or 48-hour time frame is completed, your account will be automatically reactivated, and you will be able to withdraw your funds without any issues. No additional action is required from your end.

4. Compliance-Related Account Restrictions

In certain cases, your account may be restricted by the Compliance team due to internal security checks or regulatory requirements.
In such situations:

  • Withdrawals and deposits may be temporarily disabled
  • Manual review is required before access can be restored
