Upcoming trading disruption in some contracts during Binance maintenance on 15th May.
Binance has scheduled a maintenance on 15th May which will start at 3am UTC and may take 6-8 hours. This will impact trading in contracts, on Delta Exchange, which use prices from Binance in their underlying indices.
Please read this note carefully to understand the implications. In case of any doubt, please write to us at: [email protected]
- Trading will be halted in: BNBBTC, XLMBTC, BATBTC and ATOMBTC, during hours when Binance is under maintenance. This is because the underlying indices of these contracts use only Binance prices.
- When trading resumes:
- Opening prices will be achieved via a single price auction. You will have opportunity to cancel open orders before trading resumes.
- Prices may gap up/ down when trading resumes and if you don’t have sufficient margin, your positions in these contracts may go into liquidation. It might be a good idea to ensure that your positions are adequately margined before trading is halted.
- Underlying indices that will be impacted for: BNBUSDQ, NEOUSDQ, XMRUSDQ and XLMUSDQ, during hours when Binance is under maintenance. The underlying indices of these contracts use prices from Binance among other exchanges. Weight of Binance in these underlying indices will be reduced to 0% which may impact Mark Prices. However, trading on these contracts will continue as normal.
